The best way to stop HIV/AIDS is through effective education and prevention programs.

AIDS Delaware has educational programs and free, comprehensive HIV/AIDS education tailored to your needs.

Tailored HIV Education

We work with companies, schools, houses of worship, community centers and civic groups, to provide the most up-to-date HIV information, customized to meet your needs and audience. We provide age-appropriate programs for elementary school through university level young adults as well as for adults and seniors. Our staff will make the message of HIV/AIDS education relevant and understandable. Where we cannot provide in person education, we can provide our HIV 101 Video and are very experienced working virtually. (eg: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

Educational Programs

Do The Right Thing 4LIFE (DTRT4L): Specifically targeted to Black/African-American men and women, this HIV education and prevention program is achieved leveraging the strong network and leadership of local barbershops and beauty salons within the community.

Delaware Teen Idol: Now Virtual, this Delaware premier talent show allows youth 13-18 to create original works of rap, songs, spoken word, poetry, or skits. Teens submit their videos each summer for a chance to compete in the finals in August. Their original works focus on topics such as HIV/AIDS awareness, drug and alcohol prevention, sexual abuse, fatherhood, the impact of COVID-19 and other topics facing today’s youth. Delaware Teen Idol partners with several local organizations, such as Duffy’s Hope. The finals are hosted as part of Hollywood Invades Delaware weekend.
