CAMP Rehoboth was founded by Murray Archibald and Steve Elkins (above) and an organizing team of volunteers led by Jim Bahr in 1991. Jim Bahr then formally became the Executive Director of CAMP Rehoboth and Editor of Letters from CAMP Rehoboth for its first two seasons.  (pictured below with partner and Blue Moon founder Victor Pisapia). When he relocated, co-founder and Board member Steve Elkins took over as Executive Director, a position he held for more than 25 years, until his death in 2018. Murray Archibald twice served as Interim Executive Director (1993 and 2018) and as CAMP Rehoboth Board of Directors President until 2018.

Since 1988, Out & About has informed our audience of entertainment options in Greater Wilmington through a monthly variety magazine. Today, that connection has expanded to include social networking, a weekly newsletter, and a comprehensive website. We also create, manage, and sponsor local events.

In 1999, an email began circulating around Amazon promoting happy hours and connecting LGBTQIA+ employees to build an internal community. The group formalized to become Glamazon, Amazon’s official LGBTQIA+ employee resource group in 2005.
